Light Up Your Weekend

Dec 14, 2012

Northern Spirit Lights Show Grande Prairie The lights at Evergreen Park just outside of Grande Prairie have been twinkling since mid-November with the Northern Spirit Light Show, put on by the Peace Draft Horse & Pulling Club. The drive-thru show has become a holiday tradition for many Peace Region residents and supports the club throughout the year.

The club itself was formed in 1980, their main goal being to celebrate equine culture and history. The club took over the Northern Lights Show in 2007 after the show had been suspended for two years due to renovations at Evergreen Park.

Returning to the show this year are some light-design favorites, as well as some custom pieces made by local business, families, and organizations. Not only is the Northern Lights Show an affordable way to get out, but it's also is a great way to give back to our community.

The show has various scheduling times as well as wagon rides available. The Northern Spirit Light Show is an excellent way to spend an evening…or two.
