North Inspired Matt Patershuk

Feb 14, 2013

Matt Patershuk Grande Prairie Local singer and songwriter Matt Patershuk is going to be busy in the upcoming weeks, unveiling his first album, ‘Outside the Lights of Town’, with launch parties across the Peace Region, kicking off in Dawson Creek, at the Dawson Creek Art Gallery this Saturday, February 16.

Based out of La Glace, Patershuk is self taught, taking cues from the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash, Matt also admits to his songs being inspired by his life and farming experience in the Peace Region.

Simple to the point lyrics and instrumentation are the hallmarks of his music. In his songs, he tries to show the humor and sorrow that exist together in the beautiful parts of real life. A part time musician plays as often as he can to satisfy his love for performing, writing, and singing.

Patershuk will play a total of three album launch parties – one at the Dawson Creek Art Gallery on Saturday, one in Edmonton at The ARTery on March 2, and a final one in Grande Prairie at Maddhatters on March 9.
