Horse Show We Go North The Peace Region is a horse lover’s paradise. With picturesque areas for trail rides, and many active clubs and organizations, there’s something out there for every equine enthusiast. The following is a great list of horsey events that will be taking place over the summer all throughout the region, that promise great times for those who wish to compete or just watch.

For a great day out with the family that’s not just about horses, you can’t do better than check out a fair. Grab some mini donuts and settle in for a great afternoon of horse watching!

Dawson Creek Exhibition - August 7-11, 2013

The Dawson Creek Exhibition has a light horse show going on for four days. It will also feature great entertainment in the form of trick riders, a kid’s wild horse race, and new this year thoroughbred racing.

Peace River Agricultural Society’s Fall Classic Horseshow and Fair - August 23-25, 2013

The Peace River Agricultural Society hosts a great fall show, with classes for both Western and English riders.

If you’re looking for something a little more technical, how about one if the Peace Region Alberta Dressage Association (PRADA) shows? Held at a variety of locations throughout the region there’s bound to be one near you.

On the other hand, if you’re feeling the need for speed, why not check out the Peace Country Barrel Racing Association? The PCBRA holds weekly jackpots throughout the region, so there will be plenty of opportunities for watching some thrilling rides.
