A Trio of Trees for Festival
Nov 14, 2013
Dozens and dozens of beautifully decorated Christmas trees will light up the Peace Region over the next few weeks as communities get ready for the beloved annual Festival of Trees. The Peace Region enjoys three distinct festivals as part of this annual fundraiser, with events in Peace River, Grande Prairie and Fairview.
These events not only showcase the most unique and stunning trees but also support local non-profit organizations including the Peace River Women’s Shelter and QEII Hospital Foundation among others.
Visitors can enjoy the popular attractions at all three locations, including live entertainment, sleigh rides, art sales, the children’s choir and gingerbread lane experience, however each year one can expect new additions and themes added to the festival.
Festival of Trees is an unofficial kick-off to the holiday season and puts everyone who attends in a cheery disposition ready to embrace the wonders of winter.
Whether you go to one Festival of Trees or all three, we guaranteed you will not be disappointed… however you may have a toothache after sampling all of the homemade goodies.
