Party Crashing Time

May 1, 2014

Luke Bryan, My Kind of Night, My Kind of Night tour, Country Music, Country Musician, Country, Luke Bryan TourWhat’s your kind of night? If it involves crashing parties, tailgates & tanlines and just doin’ your thing, then you’re in luck. It’s Luke Bryan’s kind of night too and he’s going to be spending two of them at the Encana Events Centre in Dawson Creek!

If you were lucky enough to get tickets to Luke Bryan’s sold out shows on May 6 & 7, you better prepare yourself for a high energy performance. As Luke himself says, when he performs he wants his music “to jump off the stage and out of the speakers” to the point where “it just feels like the roof is fixin’ to come off the place.”

Luke Bryan has come a long way since working at his family’s pecan processing plant in Leesburg, Georgia. Since 2007 he has released four albums, won 18 awards and received 23 nominations. In 2013 alone, he received six nominations as well as a CMT Music Award for Collaboration Video of the Year for “The Only Way I Know” (with Jason Aldean and Eric Church). He also received an American Music Award for Favourite Country Male Artist and an Academy of Country Music Award for Entertainer of the Year.

Luke Bryan is easily country music’s newest superstar. His most recent album, Crash My Party (released on August 13, 2013) sold over 500,000 copies within the first week. So far four singles have been released with all four reaching number one on either the Country Airplay chart or the Hot Country Songs chart in the USA. His most recent single, “Play It Again” was released on March 24, 2014. By April 17, 2014 it was number one on the Hot Country Songs chart, making it Bryan’s eighth non-consecutive number one hit, the most of any act since 2010.

If his recent shows in Panama City Beach, Florida are any indication, Dawson Creek is in for one heck of a bash! As Luke Bryan describes it in his charming southern drawl: “It’s gotten kind of insane. It’s not even organized chaos. It’s just chaos!”

Chaos or not, on May 6 and May 7 the Peace Region is going to be shaking it for Luke Bryan. If you get a chance you are going to want to crash this party!
