North Peace Museum Fort St. John

The Canada Day weekend reminds us all about our Canadian history and pride. We Go North recognizes this thirst for learning about our past, and will be sharing special spots you can visit to boost your Canadian Pride in the Historic Happenings series.

First in our Historic Happenings series is the North Peace Museum in Fort St John. With a large collection of local artifacts and archives, the NPM is a perfect way to connect with the Fort St. John area.

The museum tells a tale of yesterday in a simpler time from First Nations' settlements to the oil and gas industries of today.

There are various exhibitions and traditional relics at the museum for visitors to explore including a 1930’s outpost hospital room, Finch’s General Store, British Columbia Police Barracks and more.

Whether you’re from Fort St. John or a visitor to the area, the North Peace Museum is a must see.
