A Getaway Fit for a Queen

Stay-cations or playing tourist in their own province or even their own city have become trendy. If you are from the Peace Region there are countless lakes, points of interest and quaint towns to discover all without breaking the bank.

One of our favorite destinations with a 'little bit of it all' is the Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park. Located on the shores of Lac Cardinal, this park is only minutes away from Grimshaw. There is both in-town comforts and the serene setting of nature.

The park itself has lakefront, perfect for swimming and other water activities. The beach area that doubles as a horseshoe pit. The Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park is multi-service and the perfect place to spend a sunny day or a long weekend camping.

If the charms of camping escape you, there are a handful of reasonably priced hotels in Grimshaw. The Town of Grimshaw is chock-full of history and unique small town goods making it a great place to explore.
