Get Hooked on a Cool Day

Jul 23, 2012

Fishing Northern AlbertaOn a cooler summer day like today, a wonderful outdoor activity is fishing. Most fisherman will tell you that the best time to fish is whenever you can get on the water, but did you know that when it's very warm and sunny, fish move to more comfortable cooler, deeper waters to stay calm? That's why cloudy days are great for fishing! A day like today is a perfect opportunity to sit back and wait to reel in that trophy fish.

Whether your method is catch and release or keep and eat, there is nothing better than a calm day on the lake. The lure of the big catch brings novice and expert fisherman back time and time again.

Fortunately, we live in an area where there is an abundance of lakes, streams, and rivers all beckoning with whitefish, trout, sturgeon and more.

As we recently saw in these photos from the Progress in Chilliwack you never quite know what the day will reel in; make sure to bring your camera and lots of bug repellent.

Check out all the listings of the lakes in the We Go North area.
