The Fort St. John Visitor Centre can provide lots of great information for your trip to the “Energetic City.” Stop by the Centre on 100th Street to find maps, free coffee and other resources for visitors. It’s located next to Centennial Park, and within walking distance of many amenities.

North Peace Arena

Fort St. John
The home ice for the Fort St. John Flyers is located at the North Peace Arena. In addition to hockey, the Arena also hosts trade shows, conventions and concerts. Stop by on Saturdays for the weekly Farmer’s Market in the Arena lobby.

North Peace Leisure Pool

You’ll find the North Peace Leisure Pool right next door to the North Peace Arena on 100th Street in Fort St. John. It has a leisure pool, a lap pool and a number of fun activities for families. There’s also a sauna and steam room, as well as a cardio fitness room.

Charlie Lake Provincial Park

Fort St. John
Charlie Lake Provincial Park is located 11 km north of Fort St. John. It makes a nice day outing during the summer months (the park is open May 15 through September 7). Try your luck at fishing, go for a hike the forested trails or enjoy a picnic at the on-site facilities.

Beatton Provincial Park

Fort St. John
Beatton Provincial Park is about a 20-minute drive to the northwest of Fort St. John. It’s larger than Charlie Lake Provincial Park, and the locals prefer this one because it’s more off the beaten path. Beatton Park can be accessed off Highway 97, and is open during the summer tourist season from May 15 through September 7.
